Tulip Pot

This card is specially created for Sandie Downey's challenge to handmake 3 flowers from recycled products. My inspiration is to use the Titantic napkin fold to produce a dimensional looking tulip. Learnt from David Stark's book Napkins with a Twist.
Supplies :
Pattern paper - reccyled wrapping paper, old french book page, SEI (Marjoram's dill blossom), The Paper Company (school room)
Embellishment - buttons, ribbon, tag (KCK), alpa stickers (Around the Block)

Tulip Folding :
Here are some pics taken as I made the flowers. They turned out blurry as I was lazy and didn't use the camera tripod. David's book has perfect step-by-step pics. (A piece of 15cm paper will result in a 3cm tulip.)

Completed Card :

I'm always amazed by how serendipity strikes - these tulip buttons that I have are just the right size for the flower centers. I think my favourite element is the random french words making up the stems. Sending this card out to the much-missed O'Briens tomorrow.
