Back from vacation on Monday. It was everything I wanted it to be - not least of which was staying on a houseboat for a week and learning to navigate it through canal locks. I was good and didn't craft while away, but I did fill my jotter book with ideas. Some of which you'll hopefully see in the coming months as realized projects.
I had this with me on the plane. Read just enough to finally give my blog design some TLC. Go ahead, tell me how nerdy I am for playing around with html codes.
Seeing a trend :
Like many of you, I checked out sneak peaks of the CHA winter 2011 releases. And it seems every other manufacturer is offering a Circus themed collection. Between State Fair, Le Cirque and these releases below, we'll be spoilt for choice come February.

My dream circus :
I thought I'd get ahead of this trend for once. This week I worked on what my fantasy of a funhouse scene would look like. Rumaging through my stash, I found inspiration in an unusal place - Sassafras's Amplify. The fractal and zigzag shapes in bright neon colours conveys exactly the sort of mood I wanted : an explosion of high octane noise and energy.
New Blog Header :
I made a card that will also double as my new blog header. Thank you Bun Bun for headlining my blog these eight months. For anyone who misses him, you can always check out my kitty blog. (Just kidding, I only ever blog here).
This was what the almost finished card looks like. I photographed it, cropped to 570px and added 'Sandy's Space' in Segeo Script to create what you see above. To complete the card with the sentiment 'DREAM', I had to be slightly creative with the available alphas. In the close-up you can see both R and M are actually altered letters 'B'.
This card went out to Patti

It's funny...circus themes have been on the covers of recent music artists and, I'm sure like all other Robert Pattinson fans, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the circus movie, Water for Elephants (I just want to get thru the book first!). So I guess that's where the paper theme came from and I'm glad. It's such a fun memory-invoking theme. It can be used to journal our memories...cool.
Beautiful header you have there!
I have an award waiting for you on my blog.... come see!
*smile*
It's been a while since I commented! I just had to stop in and say: cool card! I have that very paper, and I wasn't sure what to do with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Sandy. You never fail to amaze me with your creations! As mine still in the learning process :D actually, I find digital scrapbook is hard at first but since my hubby is a 'computer wizard' & always do magic with the photoshops & others, I tried it myself & ask his help when I'm clueless lol.
