Plum Blossoms :
I'm sharing my quilled flowers created to celebrate Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival. I used two of my favourite Best Creation papers where the peonies are just perfect for this festive season. It's my first quilling project and I'm so pleased with the way the flowers turned out.
- I cut these quilling strips using KCK's Flower Dies. The narrower strips will be the flower centers (Dies #1102 and 1105) while the wider ones will be the outer petals (Dies #1104 and #1107)

- Roll the narrow strip into a tight coil. You can use KCK's Quilling Tool or simply roll it by hand. Then continue by wrapping the wider strip around the coil, fastening the end with glue
- Make about a dozen blossoms and glue them onto twigs with fast acting adhesive like Helmar 450

To those celebrating the year of the rabbit, Happy New Year ! And now I'm sending you off to Julie Walton's blog to continue the hop.
