Fabulous Biker

Have you ever tried a new technique or material that didn't turn out as planned ? Well this card is one of mine. I made a shadow box with accordian pleating at the sides. The initial idea was to insert acrylic sheets to generate a layered build-up of the interior scene.


The shadow box part turned out fine. You can just see the pleated folds in the bottom corner of the photo (and the little tear as a result of my less than perfect execution). However when I layered my acrylics, they weren't clear enough and the effect was blurry. So idea scrapped and I went back to good old glue dots to give me my layers.

All the sewn elements you see are part of the Mix and Mend papers and stickers. The only thing I did was position them to create structure for my card. This little biker is riding off to thank Keri for sending me some lovely scrappy supplies.
