This 8.5"x11" layout is the 'Now' complement to the above 'Then' project about ice pops. I hunted through our storage room for my Mother's Tupperware ice cream mounds. So that I could try my hand at making my own pops.
These Mimosa Pops get their bright yellow colour from sweet kumquats which are in season now. They were really easy to make. However once out of the freezer, they started melting almost instantly in Singapore's eighty-five degree weather. So it was a couple of quick snapshots before we ate them all up.

Design-wise this layout was inspired by Carrie's challenge to use a tag, a banner and a pocket. My banner at the top was embellished with the new Bling that's being released. Doesn't it resemble twinkling lights of a marquee ? The stripe pattern is actually a pocket that held hidden journalling tags. Those retro style phrases from the collection worked really well as headers for my tags.
Fon't forget you can win this collection if you play along with Carrie's challenge this week. Check out the details here
