Teabag Folding Flowers
A set of wedding gift tags today featuring handmade flowers. They were created using the teabag folding technique pioneered by the Dutch. I combined two different folds to make these dimensional flowers.
This flower require 16 squares of medium weight paper. If you start with 1.5"x1.5" squares, the completed flower will measure 3" in diameter. Ruby Rock-It's new vellum is great to use, as it's not as stiff as regular pattern paper, making it easy to fold. It's translucency shows off the petal layers beautifully.
Squash Fold Flower Tutorial :
Fold one petal following steps 1 to 6 noting that you need to squash fold in steps 5 and 6.
Repeat to make 8 petals in total and assemble per step 7.
Glue completed flower per step 8 on top of Kite Fold Flower.
